GAUTHIER GENET
Born in 1980, Gauthier Genet lives and works in Toulouse. Showing the intangible seems to sum up the artist's intention. From his training as an industrial designer, we find in his works, this quest for perfect form, balance and the sublime. Fascinated by sacred geometry, he puts into perspective the plural beauty of nature and that of humans. With precision, the artist fragments and transfigures the bodies. He dreams of the living in a symbolic and imaginary perception, far from the canonical laws of representation. A multidisciplinary artist, Gauthier Genet invokes multiple meanings in his art. These abstract bodies, these vertical and dark masses are like finite points which mark space. On the contrary, wire compositions open our eyes to exploded and infinite points. The whole thing is adorned with enough mystery so that each work resonates in a unique way with the viewer.
MONDE
Born in 1985, Loïc Mondé lives and works in Toulouse. It was at the age of 14 that Loïc Mondé began roaming the streets of Toulouse, doing graffiti left and right. Since then, he has never stopped. More than a passion, it is a true liberation through an art that is ephemeral in essence. He does not confine himself to his hometown, he travels around the world to exhibit his artistic signature here and there, in the eyes of as many people as possible. Graffiti represents both the beginning and the heart of his work. Spending entire nights and days feeling the immediacy of his gesture to perfect it again and again, a feeling to which Mondé seems to be addicted to the greatest happiness of his audience. His studio work is hardly far from his street production. Indeed, it keeps this spirit of the first draft, while adding a denser graphic dimension. Overall, more thoughtful work due to the time devoted to it and the resulting reduction in risk-taking. We find there his spontaneous calligraphy with oriental inspirations accompanied by a play of materials, a real work of balance between abstraction and color mastered to perfection. For the artist, urban space and the canvas cannot be dissociated; the street remains his first love and nourishes what he creates on other, more conventional media. Loïc Mondé is above all a graffiti artist, he keeps the codes and vitality of this free art regardless of the atmosphere, the space, or the material on which he expresses himself.
KAIZE
KAIZE is a graffiti artist from Toulouse born in 1980. He started with tagging in 1994 and imposed his style when he arrived in Colomiers. In 1995, he founded the LEC crew and colored the city with his old school style. Between B-boy and realistic characters, thematic drawings and complex letters, his work remains in continuity with the New York style of the 90's. Constantly looking for new inspirations, his painting is also oriented towards numerous supports such as clothing and canvases.
PRIMAL
PRIMAL develops scenes that seem to escape all reality. Pensive characters, sort of chimeras of the past, representing our various states of mind. Primal uses melancholy language from the past to evoke our emotions and our contemporary reality. Pensive looks, revealed by constantly evolving color work. He likes to confront us with our own demons such as fear of the unknown, the complexity of our human relationships; a deep curiosity for what apparently inspires human beings and the more buried torments that surround them. Founder of the Atelier Triptyque collective, he has been active on the Montpellier scene since 2014 while now based in Paris. Primal explores its universe initially in the workshop then instinctively on the wall. Between painting on canvas, sculpture on wood and muralism, he has been developing his universe over the years in France and abroad (Serbia, Mexico, USA, Spain, Georgia...)
